Print2Flash Forum

We're considering using Print2flash as a technology on our website. One important feature we require is the ability to prevent users from printing our material "to file" such as a PDF file and other file formats. Users would only be allowed to print to a "real" printer. Does Print2flash support this capability either out of the box or possibly with some custom programming?

No, this is not possible because we doubt that there is any method for a Flash movie to distinguish between real and virtual printers. Actually, Flash printing architecture does not even allow learning the name of the printer to which the printing is done.
