All Multiple Printing defaults to Print2Flash

Post by YMoore » Thu Feb 14, 2008 10:20 am

I installed and used this software for the first time last week. I converted numerous Word files using the Batch processing facility. However, now when I select multiple files to postscript in MSWord (by ticking the "print to file" box in the Print menu), my print automatically defaults to Print2Flash. This happens only when I select multiple files, if I postscript 1 MSWord file at a time, then I have no problems.
What can I do to fix this?

Thanks

Please tell us how you "postscript" MS Word files as we do not quite understand this process. Do you have a special program installed you use for converting files to Postscript? And what does it have to do with batch processing capability of Print2Flash?

I postscript files by ticking the "Print to file" option in the "Print" menu in MS Word. If you are postscripting multiple files, it is simply more efficient to postscript them by selecting them in Windows Explorer first and right clicking to print, this will open each file in MS Word saving you having to do this individually.
However, after installing Print2Flash, now when I perform this task, right click in Windows Explorer and click Print, my files are automatically opened in Word as I would expect, but are also automatically defaulted to Flash printer instead of postscripted (*.prn).

It appears mulitple file printing is not supported by Windows shell. If you uninstall Print2Flash, multiple printing will not work at all.

We confirm that there is a problem with Print2Flash in this situation and we'll fix it in the next version. However, this will not resolve your problem as multiple file printing simply won't work then rather than send its print jobs to Print2Flash printer. By the way, to send multiple documents to Print2Flash printer, you may select mutliple files, right click your selection and choose "Convert to Flash (.swf) using Print2Flash" option.
