How to Print a Print2Flash Document on the Printer?

Print2Flash documents may be easily printed on the real printer to get a document hard copy. The procedure differs between Flash and HTML5 document versions.

Printing Flash documents

The procedure slightly differs between ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3 types of documents.

Printing ActionScript 3 documents

To print an ActionScript 3 document you need:

1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The Print Options dialog window will be shown:
   
   

   In this dialog window you may change the printing options. In From and To fields you may enter the numbers of the first and last pages to print. In Scaling field you may choose how the page should be scaled regarding the paper size. There are two options:

   • No scale - the document is printed without scaling. If you print the document on the paper of the same size as the paper size of the original document from which you obtained this Print2Flash document, you should obtain exactly the same printout as from original document. Note that in this case if the printer has non-printable area at the paper margins, the content of the page will be clipped by those margins (because the printer cannot print at that area);
   • Auto-Rotate and Fit - the document is scaled so as to fit the paper size. Thus the pages may be reduced or enlarged. Additionally, if a page can be printed at a greater scale if the image is rotated by 90 degrees, the image is rotated. For example, if you have landscape oriented pages in your document but you print on a portrait oriented paper, the pages will be rotated. No clipping at the paper margin occurs in this mode.
      
   After you finished choosing options in Print Options dialog window, click OK button.

2. The standard operating system Print dialog is shown. Select the printer you wish to print the document on
3. Click Preferences to setup additional printer settings
4. Click Print button

Printing ActionScript 2 documents

To print an ActionScript 2 document you need:

1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The standard operating system Print Dialog will be shown.
2. Select the printer you wish to print the document on
3. Click Preferences to setup additional printer settings
4. If you do not want to print all document pages, you may specify the range of pages to print in the Pages field
5. Click Print button

Printing HTML5 documents

Printing of HTML5 documents works properly only in certain browsers and relies on the browser printing capabilities. The best results are achieved in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and Firefox browsers. To print an HTML5 document you need:

1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The standard browser Print Dialog window will be shown
2. Select the printer you wish to print the document on
3. Click Preferences to setup additional printer settings
4. Click Print button

However, to achieve the best results you may need to configure your browser printing preferences to turn off page margins, headers and footers. Also it is better to use the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document. Below are the specific printing instructions for some browsers.

Printing HTML5 documents from Internet Explorer

To configure Internet Explorer for printing:

1. Click Tools button on the Internet Explorer toolbar and choose Print > Page Setup... from the menu
2. In the Page Size field choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
3. Enter 0 in all four Margin fields
4. Choose Empty in all six fields corresponding to Header and Footer fields

To print from Internet Explorer, follow the general printing instructions.

Printing HTML5 documents from Google Chrome or Opera

To print from Google Chrome or Opera:

1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The Print window will be shown
2. Click More Options or More Settings
3. In the Paper Size field choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
4. Choose Default in Margins field
5. Clear Headers and Footers option
6. Click Print button

You need to use Opera 15 or a later version to print HTML5 documents properly.

Printing HTML5 documents from Firefox

To configure Firefox for printing:

1. Open any page, click Open Menu at the right top of the browser window and choose Print
2. You should see a print preview window now. Click Page Setup button
3. Switch to Margins & Header/Footer tab
4. Enter 0 in all four Margins fields
5. Choose blank in all Headers & Footers fields
6. Click OK button and then click Close in the print preview window

To print from Firefox:

1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The Print window will be shown
2. Select the printer you want to print on, then click Properties button and choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
3. Click OK button
