We just checked your document with our ASP.NET SDK sample and it worked. For this we had to clear the "Update automatic links at open" option in the Advanced tab of Word Options window. We use MS Word 2010.

We can convert your Word document without problems both manually and using Automation API. However, each time we open your document manually, we get a message about updating document links. Excel file converts successfully, If if i pass null in third parameter of following line of code p2fServer.ConvertFile(inputPath, outputPath, settingProfile, batchProcessing, null); There is no empty sheet in the excel file. If actually you don't develop a plug-in for MS Excel but rather a desktop application,then it is better to use ConvertFile method as previously.
Can you convert documents successfully when SkipEmptySheets is false? If so, what does not satisfy you in this case?

In order to convert multiple sheets you have to use special processing method for MS Excel so this line of code is absolutely necessary. From the error message it seems that MS Excel fails to open the Excel document. You need to find out why MS Excel can't do it. Check if you can open that document ...
